Annual Sierra Madre Winter Carnival

The 38th Annual Sierra Madre Winter Carnival is January 24th and 25th, 2025. Join us for this fun, family friendly event! Several events held here at the Opera House and everything except the Casino Nite fundraiser are FREE!

Schedule of Events:

08:00am: VFW Pancake Breakfast: At the Grand Encampment Opera House. There is a separate charge for this event.
09:30 am: Sled Races: Registration starts at 9am. Races start at 9:30am at 8th and Rankin in front of the Presbyterian Church.
12:30 pm: Chili, Bread and Winter Cake Cook-Off: Red, White, Green chili. Yeast, Sweet or Quick Bread and Winter Cakes. Judging starts at 1pm.
01:45 pm: Sixth Street Sprint: by Grandview Park at 6th and Barnett. Helmet and Eye Protection required. Sponsored by Creative Horse Power-Shane and Kristen Herman, D and S Designs-Dennie and Sherri Hoff, Capstone Industrial Services- Debbie and Jeff Hall, Karls Auto, North Fork Engineering and Harvey Heavy Equipment and Truck Service.
2:15 pm: Snow Golf: at Grandview Park, 6th and Barnett.
7:00 pm: Casino Night: Sponsored by Mother Mountain Anglers. Bar will be hosted by 307 Pub and Grub. You must be 21 or older to participate and there is a separate charge for this Event. The Town of Encampment and Winter Carnival are not in charge of this Event.
