The Milaca Homegrown Music Fest is the brainchild of Maddy Braun. After playing in the area for 2 years and networking with all the local musicians, Maddy came to realize what a musically rich community we live in. The amount of musicians in the area for the population is truly impressive. The music program at the school in Milaca is second to none, thanks to Band Directors Andy Nelson and Martin Garber. Milaca boasts the largest Marching Band in the state! Close to a third of the musicians playing in this festival are former students of Nelson and Garber.
