This year, the theme of our 29th festival will be in celebration of 200 years of Greek Independence. Patterned, as it was, after our American War of Independence, the Greek War of Independence freed the Greeks from 400 years of Ottoman Empire subjugation, preserving Christianity in Southern Europe and culminating in creation of the modern Greek State.
