About Us:

For four fun-filled days, Greenville becomes ‘Greekville‘ as the magic of Greece comes to town. This ‘Glendi‘ or party will begin on May 18th, 2017, with authentic Greek food served in the Church’s Hellenic Center during lunch and dinner. Take-out orders for food and pastries will also be available throughout the weekend. Drive-thru lanes on Elford Street will also be available for take-out meals Thursday and Friday; and FAX orders will be accepted for lunch both Thursday and Friday.

Outside food booths will offer Greek favorites: gyros, souvlaki, tiropita, Greek fries, Greek sausage, saganaki, Greek burgers, calamari and much more. Mouth-watering native Greek food will be abundant!

The Greek Coffee Shoppe (Kafenion) outside will offer exotic Greek coffee and the indescribable “loukoumades,” a kind of Greek doughnut dipped in honey.  There will also be Greek wine and American coffee available.

In addition to the food, we will explore the rich culture that only Greece has to offer. Ongoing tours of our beautiful Greek Orthodox Cathedral will explore the mystical symbolism and history of the Eastern Orthodox faith. View our beautiful mosaics and icons to learn the roles they play in the Church, and discover this Apostolic Christian religion that dates back to 33 AD.
