Our Winterfest pays homage to the early Germanic mead or feasting halls, which were initially large buildings with a single room where the community would gather to socialize. Warriors and others would participate in drinking and eating and the telling of stories. Today, a mead or feast hall might be considered a dining hall or a large bar where people come to socialize after work or on the weekends.
We are offering a special German buffet for $15 per person from noon until 6pm. Kids 6-10 pay only $7. Kids 6-10 who wear a costume from the Disney movie “Frozen”, the TV show “Vikings”, Circle of Time, the “Game of Thrones” or similar will get to eat for free. The buffet will consist of: Bavarian Ham, Frickadellen (German Meatball), Baked Chicken, Green Beans W/Bacon, Red Cabbage, Spaetzle, Mashed Potatoes, and gravy. Dessert Extra. Hot chocolate and coffee is included in the buffet price. Serving food until 6pm.
