Enjoy Live Music, New Sculptures and a Bite from the Food Trucks

Introduction: See Plaza +ART's 2025-26 Season Unveiling

Starry Nights @the Plaza event is our final one of the season. This evening's event, on this final night, features an Art Walk showcasing the new sculptures that will be at the plaza for the 2025-26 season; singer Kristy Ballard, performing country, folk and pop music; and the band The Proper Way, playing Americana hits. Of course, the Food Truck League food trucks will be there, too.

The food trucks arrive at 5:30 p.m.; Ballard plays on the Centennial Plaza stage in front of City Hall at 6:35 p.m., followed by The Proper Way at 7:15. Go to thefoodtruckleague.com for the lineup of the food trucks that will be there. (Scroll to the date and then click "Show Trucks" for Taylorsville League Night).

The Sculpture Unveiling begins at 6:30 p.m. The new art pieces created by local and area artists will be on loan at Centennial Plaza over the next year and can be viewed anytime for free in what has essentially become an open-air gallery at the plaza.

As to the night's performers: Ballard was born and raised in Taylorsville and loves being a part of the Taylorsville community. She enjoys singing and playing the piano, acoustic guitar and, as an homage to her German roots, her Oma's accordion. View a sample of her music here.

The Proper Way is a trio of multi-instrumentalists and singers who play traditional instruments in very untraditional ways. They perform regularly at every ski resort in the Salt Lake City and Park City areas, including Sundance, as well as most resorts in the South Lake Tahoe area. They also have played the Ogden Music Festival and at corporate events from Montana to Cabo San Lucas. Listen to a sampling of their music here.

Tonight's event is free so be sure to bring your friends or family for an evening out together. We've had a great time on these Friday nights.
