1:00pm: OUR BROTHERS
by Rachid Bouchareb (92 min, 2022) – Social Drama, Immigration, True Story
On the night of December 5, 1986, in Paris, as thousands of students protested against unpopular university reforms, two young men of Algerian descent were killed by the police. The emotional drama Our Brothers recounts the attempts by the police to cover up these killings, and the struggle of the two men’s families to uncover the truth.

3:30pm: THE (IN)FAMOUS YOUSSEF SALEM
by Baya Kasmi (97 min, 2022) – Comedy, Immigration – First Feature – Female Director
In this delightful comedy, Youssef Salem (popular comic actor Ramzy Bedia) is a 45-year-old writer specializing in obscure historical biographies that barely sell but make his dad proud. When his first novel brings him overnight success, trouble begins. For better and mostly for worse, Youssef drew inspiration for the novel from his family, and now he must stop them from reading it or face the repercussions.

5:45pm: Closing Screening - REVOIR PARIS
by Alice Winocour (105 min, 2022) – Drama – Female Director – César Winner
Three months after her life is forever changed by a mass shooting, Mia (the luminous Virginie Efira, winner of the 2023 César for Best Actress), still traumatized and remembering only fragments of what happened, decides to face her fears by returning to the scene of the attack.
The Closing Screening includes a mini Ciné-Concert preceding the feature film. Tower Theatre organist Dave Moreno will accompany silent short films with live music.
