Just in time for reading season, the Northwest Montana History Museum welcomes book writers and lovers for a program of speakers and exhibitors focused on Northwest Montana.
Confirmed speakers include:
Debra Magpie Earling
Jonathan Fetter-Vorm
Melissa Barker & Stuart Wilson
with more & details TBA
Plus: dozens of authors/publishers exhibiting and selling their books (read on to submit interest in doing so).
The event–intended to promote, celebrate, and inspire regional writing and writers–will be part speaking program (confirmed speakers are Debra Magpie Earling, Jonathan Fetter-Vorm, Stuart Wilson, and Melissa Barker) and part book fair, where readers and writers can connect, browse, and find their next reads.
Despite space limitations, we aim to include a wide range of genres and subject matter and to accommodate as many authors as possible. Authors will be notified of their acceptance to the event by Nov. 1. We expect to be able to accommodate approximately 50 authors and will keep a waiting list if necessary.
Each author will be allotted approximately 2 feet at shared tables placed throughout the museum. Because table space is at a premium, and shared among exhibitors, we ask that participants limit themselves to bringing no more than three titles each (in any quantity).
Even though the museum bookstore will be open, all sales of your books at your space will be handled individually by the authors/exhibitors themselves. Please be prepared to make these transactions, such as having change on hand, devices for online commerce, etc.
When invited to exhibit, authors will be asked to pay a $10 participation fee, which is due by Nov. 8. The fee underwrites expenses related to the event and ensures commitment to exhibit. The space will be confirmed after the participation fee is received, along with setup instructions and other event details.
