Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire

The year is 1606 and marks the first anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot during which Robert Catesby and Guy Fawkes came very close to succeeding in their plans to blow up the King and every member of Parliament. Shaken and looking for a distraction the King and his Court have decided to make their way to the country, along with the royal Guards, led by Captain Malcolm Wolfe. Greeting his Majesty are foreign Ambassadors with talks of Treaties and rumors of another Assassination Plot.

Most unexpected and terrifying, is the arrival of the King’s cousin, Lady Arabella Stuart. Lady Arabella, considered the rightful successor to the throne by some, has made her own progress with designs on marriage to William Seymour, Duke of Somerset. Growing concerned that the marriage proposal is a prelude in an attempt to seize the Crown, the King will challenged to stop the dangerous match before it puts his reign in jeopardy.

More than 50 Artisans fill our Shire working in many different mediums. Come and walk amidst them practicing their talents and crafts in sculptures, swords, candle making, jewelry, pottery, leather work, and garb such as corsets, head covers, and kilts just to name a few.

Music, Comedy and Drinking. Also, Drinking. Resurrecting traditional tunes and belting out original ones, each a tribute to the old days of Ireland, oceans, and booze-fueled hilarity.

Ship Shape
Ahoy there. We are Ship Shape, a music and comedy group newly ashore and looking to entertain any landlubber looking for a laugh. We specialize in sea shanties, tight harmonies, and nautical (sometimes naughty.) humor. Join Frankie, Swiss, and Mack for a shipload of fun.

Johnny Phoenix
A self-proclaimed "Action Hero" of comedy, Prepare to avert your eyes from the bullwhips, straitjackets, chains and other perils that await.

Come hear the folky, comical musical anecdotes of faire life.

For Love or Money brings your favorite instrumental tunes from the 12th to the 19th centuries, songs gathered from festivals and ports throughout the lands.

The Wonder of Elixer of Life
Drawing on many sources, and speaking in the smoothest fast-patter around, this ‘medicine show’ with small routines of fortune telling, magic, and humor.

The Gwendolyn Show
"The Gwendolyn Show" is a comedy show where almost anything can happen.  Highly interactive, and ridiculously silly, Gwendolyn Steele regales audiences with fairy tales and stories in the way that she remembers them…however that ends up being.  Shows are fast paced and always different; the audience might be surprised to find themselves an integral part of the show.

Medieval Madams
Lady Matilda, Lady Marion, Lady Margaret, and Lady Minerva sing stories of ale, drunken nights, love, lust, and marriage.

Matrimoniacs - Week 2 Only.
Relationship counseling specializing in ‘sheepy’ antics. Learn what to avoid in love…. Don't miss out - and end up sleeping in the barn.

Martika the One Woman Stunt Show - Week 1 only.
Women sword swallower and the only one-woman stunt show of her kind. Martika graces the audience with her playful charm. Don't let this fool you from hula hooping with barbed wire to eating fire, her spectacular show will make the audience laugh and leave them asking "How Did She Do That I want to see more.

Motley Mage
Join the Motley Mage for demonstrations of Magic and Mysteries. See fantastical feats wherein common items such as eggs, ropes, and silken hand-kerchieves appear, vanish, dance, and stretch in the most un-common fashion. Learn mystic secrets from One Who Knows. Appropriate for the Lords, Ladies, and Fae of all ages.

Righteous Blackguards - Week 1 Only.
Featuring comedy and drinking songs, and punctuated by effortless banter, Righteous Blackguards shows are slapped together, unprofessional, and you’ll never have more fun. So, join them as they irreverently perform traditional Celtic Classics, Sea Shanties, and even some Modern Hits…when they can remember the words. (Appearing November 1st, Family Friendly and November 2nd and 3rd, Adult Shows)

Blackbeard's Kids' Pirate Show
Join Captain Blackbeard’s at Blackbeard’s Kid’s Pirate Show as he shares fun stories from his adventures on the seas and find out if you have what it takes to be a member of the crew.

Shakespeare Approves
Join your friendly, neighborhood Shakespeare - Renaissance Festival Awards winner Favorite Comedy Act (2021, 2023), Favorite Solo Stage Act (2022), and Favorite Child-Friendly Act (2018, 2019) - as he takes you on audience-interactive adventures full of merriment: sword fights, mistaken identities, star-cross’d lovers, flying implements of doom, musical numbers, being pursued by a bear, and death by fluffy kittens. The Shakespearean adventures are zany performances shaped to be fun for everyone.

Huzzah. Cheer on the Noble Knights of Noble Cause as they engage in time honored traditions on the Joust Field.

FloridaSeaWolves
Visit the Viking Encampment and learn about the job of being a Norse raider. Witness their combat displays on the Joust field.

Sport with the Court

Guards Variety Show
