10:00 am - 6:00 pm : Exhibition: Hānau Ka Mo'olelo

Location : Donkey Mill Art Center 78-6670 Mamalahoa Hwy., Holualoa

The exhibition, Hānau Ka Mo'olelo, focuses on the transformative power of mo'olelo and presents these stories, traditions, histories and remembrances as evidence of collective and individual experiences and unfolding memories. Filled with kaona and layered meanings, artworks become the vehicle through which mo'olelo manifest–artists thoughtfully revealing stories and histories they have witnessed, researched, and/or remembered. With many of the artists gathering mo'olelo from their own 'ohana, artworks reveal their family histories and genealogical connections anchoring them to the past, present and the future. This exhibition runs through December 14th, 2024. Festival button required and available for purchase on-site.
