Hawaii's Premier Ocean Sports Festival

The annual Duke’s OceanFest Watersports Festival, held on the shores of Waikiki, celebrates Duke Kahanamoku’s life, athletic contributions and spirit with a variety of lifestyle sports disciplines that represent Duke Kahanamoku’s legacy and the culture of Hawai’i: Surfing, Swimming, Paddleboard Racing, Menehune Surfing, Surfboard Water Polo, Foil Surfing, Beach Volleyball, and Hawaii’s only Dog Surfing Competition! Festivities throughout the week also include cultural, hula, film and music presentations.

Schedule of Events:

8AM - 5PM: Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Legends Surf Invitational

During the first day of this special pro-style surf competition, sponsored teams of amateur surfers are matched with the sport’s legends in a one-of-a-kind surf meet.

10AM - 2PM: Head High World of Foil Team Challenge

Duke’s OceanFest and Head High Wines are proud to announce the “Head High Foil Challenge.”. A new sport quickly gaining in popularity, hydrofoiling is a captivating blend of physics and surfing. Come watch the best foilers’ in the Islands surf and fly over the waves at the iconic Queen’s beach. Limited to Six Teams of 5 foil riders per team. 6PM - 9PM: Waikiki Nights - Waterman (The Life of Duke Kahanamoku)

Duke’s OceanFest is proud to present the highly acclaimed documentary “Waterman”, as its feature film of the 2022 Waikiki Nights OceanFest Film Event. Waterman focuses on the life and achievements of Duke Kahanamoku.
