After receiving a frantic phone call from a scammer pretending to be her grandson, 93-year-old Thelma rushes to mail the money demanded of her as soon as possible. When the police inform her there’s little chance of ever getting it back, and her family begins talks of assisted living, Thelma sneaks off in search of justice. With the help of her friend, Ben, and his souped-up motorized scooter, Thelma takes to the streets of L.A. to track down the people who stole from her.
